 Description

Patteda anchu is a cotton handloom saree from north Karnataka dating back to 10th century A.D. It was considered an auspicious garment offered to the goddess in Yellamma Saundati temple when the daughter of a household got married. This saree is made with 100% cotton yarn of 40 count (thicker). It has checked pattern and a band that runs along the border (hence the name patteda anchu).
