4) How do you ship?
- We offer free shipping for orders $100 and up
- For orders <$100, we offer economy shipping for $5.00 (5-8 days) and standard shipping for $9.99 (3-4 days) anywhere in the US
5) What’s my size?
Please refer to the size guide for measurements. Link is available on each product page.
6) Do you offer alteration service?
- Yes, we can custom fit clothing purchased at Bhavana Handlooms to your measurements.
- Alterations are free of charge. Alterations may take 1 day to 3 weeks depending on the amount of alteration work in queue.
- For alteration service, pls contact us by WhatsApp 510-497 4227.
- We can alter only after the purchase is completed. No returns/ exchanges once altered.
7) Is everything Handloom?
- Yes, most of our products are Handloom. I.e. it is hand woven.
- Some of our products are Khadi. I.e. it is hand spun and Hand woven
- Some of our textiles are handcrafted with traditional techniques like tie-dye, hand block print, hand painted Kalamkari etc. Some of the hand crafted textiles may not be Handloom.
- Some of our textiles are hand embroidered in traditional styles like Kasuti, Aari, Kutch work etc.

8) What materials are used?
- All our products are made with natural fibers. We use Silk and Cotton primarily or a combination of Silk + Cotton. We have different types of Silks and Cottons.
- We sell products made from Viscose (made with plant fibers). We also sell products made from Bamboo fiber, eucalyptus fiber, Walnut fiber, Pine fiber etc.
- We do NOT sell products made from Polyester or other man made fibers; which is an increasingly leading cause of pollution due to the shedding of micro-fibers.
9) What Sustainable practices do you use?
- Handlooms are mechanical devices powered manually and does not use any electricity or fossil fuels.
- Hand spinning of yarns are done on a Charkha (spinning wheel) which also does not use any electricity or fossil fuels.
- Hand crafted techniques are all hand made; hence sustainable.
- Some of our products use Natural dyes made from Plants, flowers, berries, roots which are eco-friendly.
- Most of our products use azo-free VAT dyes which are biodegradable and eco-friendly.
- We use reusable cloth bags, paper tags and metal velvet hangers.
- We minimize the use of plastics as much as possible. Some recycled plastics are used for water proof parcels, old (already purchased) hangers.
10) Where do you manufacture the clothing?
- All our clothing is manufactured in India.
- We make small batches; work with small (1-10 employees) manufacturing units with clean and good working environment.
- We pay fair market value to our tailors.
- We do NOT pressure/ threaten our tailors over delivery deadlines.
- We do NOT bargain with our Weavers.
- We highly respect all our skilled weavers, artisans, embroiderers and tailors and have a great working relationship.
11) Do you offer discounts?
- We have end of season/ end of Year sale in June and December respectively; where we offer 20-40% off on past collections. Please see SALE section on our website
- We also offer promotions periodically in-season. Please check our Facebook or Instagram page for updates.
12) What is your return policy?
- If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return/ exchange the product within 30 days.
- Returns should be unused; and with tag intact.
- Customer will bear any shipping costs involved in return / exchange.
