Khadi fabric is not only Hand woven but even the yarns used for weaving are Hand spun in a charkha (a hand cranked, manual spinning machine). So, when the yarns are hand spun and then it is hand woven then we call it Khadi. Khadi has a rugged texture, comfortable feel and is said to have the unique property of keeping you warm in Winter and cool in Summer. Khadi is organic and has a zero carbon footprint!

Aari/ Maggam is a type of hand embroidery which is done on a stretched fabric and stitching the design with a long, sharp hooked needle which looks like a crochet needle. The needle is named as Aar/ Karchop, from which the embroidery work derives its name as Aari work. This work is created by using beads, stones, sequins, golden and silver threads and other embellishments which results in intricate detailing and exceptional workmanship giving a royal richness to the design. Today, this is very popular in bridal blouses.
